With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,the demand for high transmission rate and quality is constantly rising.Nowadays,wireless communication technology has entered the era of 5G,and the limitation of frequency spectrum resources has become a major obstacle to the development of wireless communication technology.The multiple-input–multiple-output(MIMO)technology,which can greatly improve the channel capacity without increasing the spectrum resource overhead,has become one of the key technologies of 5G communication system.The isolation between the MIMO antennas is a critical factor affecting the performance of the MIMO antenna,so how to improve the isolation between the MIMO antennas without degrading antenna performance has become one of the hot topics today.The main work of this article is as follows:(1)A decoupling method of using metallic strips to improve the isolation of circularly polarized MIMO dielectric resonator antennas(DRAs)is proposed.Thanks to the polarization orthogonality,the isolation between the two CP DRAs is improved significantly,without degrading antenna performance.In addition,the decoupling structures are easy to process,without occupying extra space.(2)A simple decoupling method of using specific higher order modes to improve the isolation of E-plane coupling DRA elements is investigated.This method can greatly improve the isolation of E-plane coupling MIMO DRA at the resonant frequency point,and this method will not affect the radiation pattern of the antenna,and even increases the gain of the antenna.The most important thing is that this method can achieve a good decoupling effect as long as the dimension of the DRA and the feed network are designed well.(3)A simple decoupling method of using specific higher order modes to improve the isolation of H-plane coupling DRA elements is investigated.The different polarization directions of the antenna can be used in different communication occasions.Therefore,the decoupling of H-plane coupling MIMO DRA should be studied as well.The above decoupling method of E-plane coupling MIMO DRA can also be applied to H-plane coupling MIMO DRA,which can also improve the isolation of H-plane coupling MIMO DRA at the resonant frequency point.The structure of H-plane coupling MIMO DRA is simple and the performance is good...
