In recent years,the transmission of digital information through the network has become very common.How to use image steganography to do information security protection has attracted more and more people's attention.Image steganography technology selects common images as a carrier,adds the secret information that needs to be propagated,and then transmits it.The receiver can obtain the secret information through the corresponding analysis algorithm.Because the carrier image is basically unchanged,it can achieve a good security transmission effect.By comparing the efficiency and quality of image steganography technology to evaluate the performance of image steganography technology,embedding rate and peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)were used to measure the steganography efficiency and steganography quality of the image.From the perspective of image steganography,we hope to achieve a higher embedding rate on the basis of ensuring a higher PSNR value as much as possible.Traditional image steganography technologies such as EMD(Exploiting Modification Direction)[1],GEMD(Generalized Exploiting Modification Direction)[2]and other schemes have corresponding deficiencies.For example,the embedding capability of the EMD scheme will decrease rapidly as the number of carrier pixels n increases.In order to better improve the steganography effect and achieve a higher embedding capacity,this paper has conducted a more in-depth study on the image steganography technology,the main work is as follows.(1)Research and summarize the various evaluation indicators of image steganography technology,classify and screen various factors that can affect the steganography effect,and prepare for better embedding ability and quality.(2)A variety of typical image steganography algorithms are analyzed in detail.By studying their algorithm models and processes,we summarized their respective algorithm innovation points and the main factors limiting the effect of steganography.(3)Based on the above work,this paper proposed a new image steganography technology—An enhanced GEMD scheme based on data splitting and combining algorithms.First,the 2n+2 bit secret data is divided into n+2-bit secret data M1 and n bit secret data M2,and then the image containing n carrier pixels is grouped.M1 and M2 are embedded in the grouped image by GEMD and LSB scheme combination algorithm.The receiver can obtain the secret information corresponding to the above steps.This solution significantly improves the steganography efficiency and can insert more secret data after the GEMD embedding process.After comparison,the embedding rate of the EMD scheme is(log2(2n+1))/n,the embedding rate of the GEMD scheme is(n+1)/n,and the new scheme proposed can achieve(2n+2)/n.And through experimental analysis,it can be found that the newly proposed scheme can maintain good image quality and can withstand RS retrieval.
