The emergence of Cuckoo search algorithm is based on the bionics principle,is a kind of heuristic intelligent optimization algorithm based on Cuckoo's biological behavior.Its characteristics are simple and easy,set fewer parameters,etc.,when solving the optimization problem is more simple than other heuristic intelligent optimization algorithm.In this paper,based on the original CS algorithm,dynamic adaptive step size control and piecewise weighted position update formula are introduced,and a class of improved CS algorithm is presented,which is used to coordinate the local search and global search of CS algorithm and accelerate the convergence rate in the later period.Through the test function and the comparison with CS algorithm,the research data shows that the algorithm has good results.Combined with the idea of penalty function,an improved CS algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem with constraints.The classical constrained optimization problem and structural optimization design problem are used to verify the improved algorithm.The results show that compared with other algorithms,this algorithm has better results for most of the above problems.Secondly,the differential equation problem is transformed into a functional extremum problem by the variational principle.The improved cuckoo algorithm is used to solve the problem and the numerical solution is compared with the ritz method.The data of the test function show that the algorithm is effective for ordinary differential boundary value solutions.
