Research On The Contyibution Of Chinese Museums To National Economy And Social Development

Museums are non-profit organizations that collect and display human and human environmental relics and provide cultural services to society in order to meet people's research,appreciation and education needs.Since 2008,the number of institutions and audiences of museums in China has shown a rapid growth trend.This reflects the increasing importance of museums for economic and social development.Museums play an important role in economic and social development,and some scholars have carried out some research and Discussion on the contribution of museums to national economic and social development.However,how to clarify the economic and social contribution of museums,and how to quantify and analyze the economic and social contribution of museums,there is no in-depth study and feasible method at present.Under the current development situation of our country,if we can not make theoretical analysis and provide data support for the contribution of museums to the economic and social development,then there will be a lack of necessary and convincing reliable basis for the government's macro-decision-making and resource allocation.Under the above background,this paper studies the economic and social contribution of museums from the actual needs of decision-making of Chinese government departments in the development of Museum industry.Firstly,through mechanism analysis,this paper explains the concept of museum's contribution to economic and social development,clarifies that the museum mainly achieves its contribution to economic and social development through the support of tourism industry and urbanization construction,and proves that mechanism analysis conforms to the actual situation through statistics and correlation analysis of data.Secondly,on the basis of mechanism analysis,this paper selects the number of Museum visitors,tourists and urbanized population as quantitative indicators,constructs a quantitative relationship model between museums and economic and social development,as well as the economic and social contribution model of museums.Finally,using the real statistical data of the number of Museum visitors,tourists and urbanized population in China,the economic and social contribution model of museums is validated,and the results are analyzed and discussed.Through this study,it will provide a method for government departments to make investment decisions in Museum construction,and compare the differences of economic and social contributions of museums in different regions and years.
