At the 2018 State Grid Communications Work Conference,the goal of "Building full-service Internet of Things,building smart enterprises,leading the construction of world-class energy Internet enterprises with excellent competitiveness" was put forward,and the technical plan of building State Grid-Electric Internet of Things(SG-eIoT)was proposed.At present,more than 500 million terminals(including equipment about protection,acquisition,control and others)are connected to the State Grid system.By 2030,the number of devices connected to SG-eIoT system will reach 2 billion.The Electric Internet of Things will be the largest Internet of Things ecosystem of access devices.As a key component of power communication system,power optical fiber can transfer information between terminal devices.If the communication interruption is caused by the faults of power optical fiber lines,it may lead to incompatibility between access devices in power system,and will bring huge economic losses to the power departments.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to develop the power optical fiber line condition monitoring system,and to detect the power optical fiber faults,reduce the fault warning and fix position time,and ensure the uninterrupted transmission of power communication system finally.Based on the reading of the papers and investigation of Jilin Province's power department,and according to the way of optical fiber fault detection in practical applications.Finally,a dual-mode on-line detection system for urban power optical fiber lines was designed in this paper.The system has the capability of detecting four optical fibers simultaneously and free switching between two detection modes for each optical fiber,which prevents the effect of optical fiber detection equipment unable to respond for the single detection mode.The system controller based on the STM32,and other hardware devices including Optical Time Domain Reflectometer(OTDR),Optical Power Meter,Wavelength Division Multiplexing(WDM),Optical Switch and Spectrometer.The current time operating system which based on RT-Thread is transplanted to STM32 chip,and the embedded system of testing equipment is developed by the C language.Meanwhile,the host computer can realize remote control of monitoring equipment by TCP/IP protocol.The application of this system can reduce the time of fault detection of optical fiber lines in power departments and improve the detection efficiency.Finally,the system is installed in Sanjiazi Substation of Changchun City,Jilin Province for field operation.Four power optical fibers of the optical cable line of "Sanjiazi Substation-New Building of Jilin Province Company" are selected for the on-line detection.Through more than three months operation,the system operated successfully.And though the fault simulation,verified that the dual-mode urban power optical fiber line online detection system can warning within 10 seconds and fix the fault location within 1 minute.Practical operation also shows the practicability and feasibility of the system.
