With the development of optical communication technology, the promotion of high-definition IPTV,ultra-clear video on-demand,high-definition videophone and other broadband services, mobile bandwidth demand has grown exponentially with time, and the existing bandwidth in fiber-optic communication cannot meet the requirements of network transmission rate and transmission capacity. The use of a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier(RSOA)as a modulator in an optical network unit(ONU)in a fiber optic link enables a colorless optical network unit to generate additional gain for the link.Advanced modulation helps to make full use of spectrum resources and can transmit higher speed data information under the same bandwidth. This thesis mainly designs a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier with two-electrode configuration and optimizes the performance of the link by using filter bank multi-carrier(FBMC)modulation and utilizes the high bandwidth of the fiber to provide high-speed data access services for end users. In the uplink transmission link, the RSOA modulator is used to realize the colorlessness of the fiber link.Compared with the two-electrode RSOA with different configurations, the optimal performance is obtained to improve the gain of the link, thereby obtaining a longer transmission distance. The advanced modulation format FBMC is used in the downlink transmission link to achieve higher spectrum utilization and lower adjacent channel leakage, thereby achieving higher transmission rate and transmission capacity. The main work and innovations of this thesis are as follows:1.Constructed a physical model of a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier and studied its characteristics. The configuration of the reflective semiconductor optical amplifier with two-electrode offset is proposed, and the improvement of the link gain of the reflective semiconductor optical amplifier with two-electrode configuration is studied.2.The selective mapping technique and partial transmission sequence technique are studied to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio of the multi-carrier modulated signal of the filter bank with offset. An algorithm combining selective mapping technology with partial transmission sequence technology is proposed.Lower peak-to-average power ratio compared to traditionalselective mapping techniques and partial transmission sequence techniques. This algorithm improves the performance of link transmission.
