The digital image processing technology on a DSP platform is understood as the DSP combined with image processing technology.With the development of the times,people have studied more and more on it.Therefore,this technology is becoming more and more mature.Image enhancement is an important image processing method which can enhance the detailed information in an image,suppress the noise,improve the image quality,facilitate the post-image processing.Image enhancement methods are mainly divided into two categories: spatial enhancement and transform domain enhancement.The main idea based on spatial domain is to directly process the pixels of image,and classical methods include histogram processing,etc.While as for the enhancement methods in transform domain,based on the Fourier transform of image,classical methods are wavelet transform and so on.These methods are very classical algorithms in the field of digital image processing.The design in this work takes TMS320DM642 DSP as a hardware platform to realize the image loading,enhancement and display and other algorithm operations.Comparing the DSP with other embedded tools,such as ARM and FPGA,it is obvious to find the advantages of DSP.The most significant advantage is that the DSP can process and calculate real-time big data conveniently and quickly.Inevitably,DSP also has some shortcomings.Therefore,the design in this work uses Matlab/Simulink software with CCSLINK and CCSV6.1 interconnected,to realize automatic code generation technology which can solve the problem that the DSP is difficult to program and time-consuming.In order to realize a variety of image enhancement functions based on DSP,the author of this paper proposes three improved image enhancement algorithms,which are respectively the improved histogram equalization algorithm,the improved image enhancement algorithm based on wavelet transform and the improved image enhancement algorithm based on retinex theory.After the algorithm is improved,the objective evaluation methods are also used to verify the feasibility and practicability of the three improved image enhancement algorithms.At the same time,the ultimate purpose is to test whether the whole design system is reasonable and practical.At last,it summarizes the related problems of the whole system and perspectives.
