Image interpolation technology is the basis of image processing technique,but under the condition of limited resource conditions for the image information can't meet the demand,need to select a suitable interpolation method and the mathematical model of image visual effect.We propose the edge image interpolation algorithm based on Otsu threshold segmentation,the algorithm is by adopting the method of variance categories(Otsu)for low resolution input image is divided into edge details area and the edge smooth area,and will stay interpolation pixel is classified into horizontal direction,vertical direction,diagonal orientation,and the interpolation based on pixel neighboring 6 or 8 pixels correlation characteristic of the position and direction,to different parts of the pixels of different interpolation methods,this method can effectively keep the image edge information.In order to keep the image texture images interpolation,on the basis of the local adaptive threshold segmentation is proposed based on the edge of the image interpolation algorithm,through the calculation for interpolating pixels around the size of the variance and standard deviation,as a dynamic threshold,the image region partition to the edge area adopts double linear interpolation,adaptive interpolation was carried out on the edge of the area.Two interpolation method proposed in this paper is a kind of use Otsu adaptive threshold segmentation image interpolation algorithm and the edge of another use local edge image interpolation algorithm of adaptive threshold segmentation can be according to the characteristics of different image itself is the advantage of adaptive image regions accurately,effectively improve the classical interpolation algorithm of image edge detail information defect,fuzzy phenomena,to enhance the image visual effect.By choosing the standard test set of the image by the proposed method and bilinear interpolation,bicubic interpolation,NEDI interpolation,interpolation FEIO interpolation simulation verification,respectively from the subjective evaluation and objective evaluation and running time,shows that the method can effectively improve the quality of image interpolation.
