Under the dust environment,the images collected by the outdoor imaging equipment are degraded to varying degrees due to the dust particles,which makes the images acquired under the dusty weather show color distortion and sharpness.It has adverse effects on applications such as traffic safety and intelligent detection.Therefore,this paper studies the problem of clearing the image of dust and dampness.The specific work includes:(1)Aiming at the problem of color shift of sand dust image,a method of sharpening sand and dust images based on color cast correction is proposed.The method solves the problem mainly through three parts,namely,color cast correction,contrast enhancement and rich image detail.Firstly,based on the color distribution characteristics of sand dust image,a sand dust image model based on color distribution is established.According to the characteristics of the model,the RGB channel is processed separately by the limit contrast adaptive histogram equalization.Then,the image contrast is low after the color cast correction.The problem of image darkness,using multi-scale Retinex with color recovery to enhance image contrast and keep the image color constant;finally,enrich the image details by adjusting the H and S components of the HSI space.In order to verify the effectiveness of the method in this chapter,a large number of experiments are carried out to verify that the method has good processing results for sand and dust images with different color casts.(2)Aiming at the problem of dust image color distortion and and the information degradation similar to the fog image,for sharpening the degraded dust image.The method is mainly for dust images with a large degree of color cast and severe degradation of image information.Firstly,the color correction is performed by using the automatic color gradation to solve the problem of color distortion of the dust image;then the color corrected image is used as the guide image to guide the filtering to remove the image noise and preserve the image edge;finally,the homomorphic filtering is adopted in the frequency domain,way to enhance image brightness and contrast.Experiments show that this method can not only effectively performcolor correction,but also improve image sharpness and contrast.(3)A sand and dust image clearing system was designed and implemented based on the results and related researches.The system integrates the two methods proposed in this paper with the classic image enhancement algorithm.
