Reading in the digital age is no longer just traditional text understanding,but more a process of obtaining information for the purpose of reading.That is,reading is actually a problem solving activity.Under the background of the rise of social reading,reading is no longer a simple personal behavior.Various types of e-readers and social reading platforms have promoted reading methods such as cooperative reading and sharing reading.The latest research shows it is really important that readers can participate in the shared regulation process among learners including reading task understanding,planning and strategy development,and emotions and motivations coordination among group members.The dissertation systematically firstly combs the related literature such as Reading as Problem Solving,Shared Regulation and Social Reading,introduces the shared regulation theory into the reading research oriented to problem solving,and constructs a social reading theory model based on shared regulation.Secondly,in this dissertation,the reading shared task understanding scaffolds(including forming the shared Context Model and the shared Task Model in turn)are designed.The types of social reading activities based on shared regulation are summarized.Moreover,the corresponding application mode is designed.Finally,based on the theoretical model and application model above,the "Information Technology Methodology" course of the 2018 fall semester of Educational Technology Major at H University is considered as an explanatory case which introduces the specific application of social reading based on shared regulation as well as evaluates the level of reading shared task understanding and shared regulation.The preliminary research shows that the shared task understanding scaffolds of reading promotes the formation of students' shared Context Model and shared Task Model.At the same time,the two dimensions of students' shared regulation level are also improved to some extent after the implementation of the case.The level of cognitive interaction has been deepened and the collaborative atmosphere of the reading group has been more harmonious.The research in this paper expands the research perspective of social reading and helps to analyze the inner working mechanism of social reading under the new media environment.The designed social reading application model and implemented case study based on shared regulation can provide valuable reference for various reading activities and classroom teaching.
