With the aggravation of the aging problem around the world,as well as the increasing number of physical disorders caused by a variety of accidents and diseases,patients and their families suffered a lot of adverse effects and heavy burden.Although researchers have found that physical disorders could be restored by massive and repetitive rehabilitation training proactively,but a lot of reasons still made patients unable to participate in treatment actively.From one side the limited number of physicians couldn't satisfy the market demand,that was caused by the public had a little interest in this industry without policy supports and physicians were required to be highly skilled.From the other side,patients were easy to feel contravene after traumatic events,anxious when waiting and boring facing the huge rehabilitation equipment for repeated training.Nowadays,it was urgent to find a new treatment plan.This paper was part of a research project in West China Hospital,Sichuan University,aiming to solve that problem by using Somatosensory Technology and 3D technology.By means of the inertial somatosensory device as the control system,the Microsoft Foundation Classes(MFC)and the Unity3 D game engine to develop the software,a rehabilitation treatment assistance system with practical,technical and entertainment functions was realized finally.The main contents of this paper were as follows:(1)The design and implementation of human limb movement display system based on captured human motion data was introduced and consisted of those functions:the binding of human limb parts and 3D simulated human limbs,switching perspective,setting initial posture,limb movement display etc.(2)The design and implementation of the airplane game controlled by the rotation of the limbs around the Y axis and the throwing ball game controlled by the pressure value generated by the bending of the limbs up and down.(3)The embedding and the local data transfer between Unity3 D application and MFC application.This system was easy to manipulate,thereby reducing patients' learning cost;and the somatosensory equipment was portable with low cost,indirectly reducing the economic cost of training;meanwhile as its function of recording patients' movement data,therapists could view the training status of patients through the computer,without having to accompany them all the time,consequently saving the cost of humanresources.Interaction technology had a strong sense of involvement,coupled with the virtual environment provided by 3D technology,it made users immersed in the scene that supplemented by interesting game design in this technology with combination of treatment and entertainment,so that patients could participate in training actively.This project was of great practical significance to create conditions for rehabilitation training patients to reintegrate society and lighten their family's financial and mental burden.
