Under the background of the explosive growth of global communication bandwidth demand,the demands for dramatic increase of transmission capacity,traffic volume and complexity carried by optical networks,optical network has experienced a development course from the first generation of basic optical transmission network to the second generation of dynamic intelligent optical network with routing mechanism and intellectual control function.All of the above implies that there exists enormous pressure of mass data exchange at the optical network node.Therefore,the optical switching network technology has become an important research content.Among them,the optical packet switching technology has become the development direction of highspeed all-optical switching networks with the advantages of small granularity and flexible routing and switching mechanism.In this paper,among the first one to talk is the composition of the optical packet switching network and the structure of the core node.After that,by means of analyzing the key technologies in the optical packet switching network node,we then do some further study of optical switches in optical switching matrix which is an effective application to support multi-hops in the optical packet switching network,through this method which is based on four-wave mixing effect,the signal quality of switching node system will be greatly improved.By the principle research,simulation analysis and experimental research of this technical scheme,the feasibility and reliability of this technical idea are verified.The main research content includes:1.Introduction.The historical background of optical networks is introduced and the development process of two generations of optical networks is described.The three optical switching technologies in the second generation of optical networks are expounded: optical circuit switching,optical burst switching,and optical packet switching.The technical characteristics and development trends of optical packet switching network is descripted detailly.2.Optical packet switching network and the key technologies.We first describe the composition of the optical packet switching network.And then,some analysis of network architecture and protocols,the advantages of combining optical packet switching technology with software-defined optical network technology to form a software-defined optical packet switching network based on the OpenFlow protocol under the current development trend are elaborated.By analyzing the core node structure in the optical packet switching network,a key node processing technology in the optical packet switching network is studied in detail: optical switch technology.The optical switches insertion loss in the optical switching matrix at the core node of the optical packet switching network leads to the problem that the optical data signal has limit of routing hops in the network.Based on the non-linearity effect of four-wave mixing,the idea of signal performance improvement system of switching node is proposed.3.Simulation research of signal performance improvement system of switching node.Through theoretical analysis,a signal performance improvement of switching node technology scheme based on two-stage cascaded four-wave mixing is proposed.Based on the OptiSystem simulation platform,the simulation analysis and research of this technical scheme was carried out.Through optimizing the parameters,an excellent optical switching regeneration signal is obtained within a relatively large adjustment range of the pump wavelength and the pump power.This signal has a higher quality factor and a lower bit error rate than the performance unimproved one.4.Experimental research of signal performance improvement system of switching node.The experimental study of the signal performance improvement system of the switching node was carried out to analyze the quality of the regeneration signal which go through the performance improvement system.The results showed that while the wavelength of the signal is located in the C-band(from 1535 nm to 1565 nm)and passes through the performance improvement method which is based on cascaded four-wave mixing effect,the performance of output switching signal can be improvement.The experimental results are approximate to the simulation results,indicating that this scheme has strong feasibility in the future application of optical packet switching network.
