Gait recognition is a branch of biometric recognition,which automatically extracts human gait featuresin video to identify the individual character.Gait recognition has some advantages: such as good concealment,lower video quality and difficult to be imitated.It can be used as an auxiliary means to help public security officers to search for people by combined with traditional face recognition or iris recognition in some places where need high security requirements.At present,the relevant research at home and abroad is mainly in theory,but the research in practice is relatively few.The gait recognition system is designed in this paper.The gait recognition function is realized according to the comparison between the video feature data obtained by the camera and the data in the template library.The process is as follows:Firstly,implement the function of achieving data acquisition,image binarization,data upload and serial port information output by carrying the camera,the display,the net cable and the serial port on the Zedboard development.Secondly,uses cloud as carrier to run PyCharm to realize the functions of video data receiving,background subtraction,gait feature extraction,data comparison and so on.Finally,the conclusion is drawn according to the results of data comparison.It is can overcomed the lower computing ability of the development board and makes the recognition speed faster by combinate the Zedboard development and cloud server.The combination of foreground contour detection and specific gait information makes the detection process more intuitive and accurate.
