Research On The Application Of Snort In Campus Network Security

Since the birth of the computer network,network security has attracted more and more attention,network intrusion events to the state,enterprises aid individuals brought a variety of forms of loss,site tampering,information disclossre,online fraud and other network failure behavior has seriously affected the production and life of people,network security becomes more and more important,how to sabotage to prevent the network network security has become an urgent problem.At present,mainly through the firewall to achieve the protection of network security.the firewall configuration strategy for the corresponding key will host in the network or special network is relatively isolated,to guard against hackers attacks.However,this method is just a static network security protection technology,it is difficult to adapt to the current new network environment for the protection of intrusion events.The intrusion detection technology is a new technology of network security,intrusion behavior dynamic monitoring,prevention and defense network.mainly through the collection of computer networks it a number of key points of information and its technical analysis,to discover whether there are violations of security policy and intrusion behaviors in the network.As an importait part of the network security system,intrusion detection can effectively prevent the occurrence of network intrusion events,thus ensuring the Information security of the state,enterprises and individuals.In view of the complex network environment,intrusion detection technology with its unique advantages,has become a hot and important direction of network security research.Firstly,starting from the current situation of network security,this paper analyses the urgent need for network security in complex network environment,and draws the conclusion that the application of network intrusion detection in network security is necessary.Through the analysis of intrusion detection technology,a SNORT-BASED campus intrasion detection system test environment is built.By simulating attack behavior,the entry of key nodes in campus network is tested.Intrusion detection,and through the deployment of intrusion detection system in the campus network to prevent intrusion,to ensure the security of campus network operation.
