With the continuous development of the economy of our country,the traditional building code can no longer meet the needs of contemporary buildings in terms of performance-based building fire safety audit.How to design a system that can meet the practical needs and provide management of the performance-based fire safety audit becomes an important subject.This research study designed and introduced a new information system for building fire safety audit management.Discussions about its feasibility and application were also included.The system uses Visual Studio 2010 as the development platform,C# as the programming language and SQL Server 2008 as the database management system.The main functions are: First,to realize the information reporting and sharing between each level on the performance-based fire safety audit application;Second,to manage the cases which have already been audited.The system sets a three-level audit,which are from bottom to the top,the enterprise staff,the detachment administrator and the corps administrator.The enterprise staff has the authority to upload performance-based fire safety applications and reports;Detachment administrator has the authority of initial audit;Corps administrator has the authority of final audit and adding detachment administrator.The paper is organized as follows: firstly,the introduction of the background for system development.With comparison between performance-based design and traditional design,the necessity of performance-based design has been proved.Secondly,the current condition of development in China and its applicability were analyzed.Thirdly,the introduction of the related development tools and the foundations of the technology;Furtherly,the analysis of the system needs and its feasibility.Based on which,we brought up the general design of the system,proposed the specific design project and a database model;Following with that was the detailed design and the implementation of the whole system,including its database design and connection,in addition to the implementation of each functional module;Finally,the results of the system test were reported,and took forward look of the system application.
