As an important part of satellite payload transponder system,filter plays an important role in the whole satellite transmission system.To a certain extent,the performance of the filter reflects the performance of the whole satellite subsystem.Therefore,the design and development of filter products with high reliability,easy debugging and good consistency have great practical significance for the function,performance and development cycle of the whole satellite.The purpose of this thesis is to design a high frequency waveguide cavity filter.First,this thesis introduces the background and significance of the research work.The main purpose is to solve the problems of long development period,low reliability and poor replaceable ability of filter in satellite communication system.Then the development history and current situation of filters are introduced,and the research status of filters at home and abroad is compared.Second,this thesis introduces the basic knowledge and theoretical support of filter design,puts forward important parameters related to filter design,and explains the parameters.The classification and the application of different filters are introduced.According to introduction of the filters above,the suitable filter forms for this thesis are selected.At first,the waveguide cavity filter is selected as the design form of the filter,and the field and mode in the rectangular waveguide are analyzed theoretically.The specific design form of the filter is determined.Third,the software simulation of the electric performance of the filter model designed in the previous thesis is carried out to check the consistency between the simulation results and the targets.It is confirmed that the design form meets the requirements,and the structural design work is carried out on the basis of the design form.The final structural design model is obtained.After the structural design and processing,the electrical and mechanical properties of the designed products are tested,and the testing scheme and process are put forward.Checking whether the designed product meets the design standard.In the end,a series of experiments verify that the designed filter meets the design requirement,which can satisfy the application requirements.
