Two-dimensional angle estimation of the incoming signal sources is a basic problem in array signal processing.And it is also one of the most important tasks of wireless communication,radar,sonar,communication reconnaissance,passive location and many other fields.The performance of 2-dimensional DOA estimation depends on the structure configuration of the antenna array and the algorithm selected.It has been proved by literature that the algorithm based on L-shaped antenna array has lower CRB(Cramér–Rao bound),which has higher estimation performance.Typical DOA Estimation methods including two-dimensional Multiple signal classification(MUSIC)and estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance technology(ESPRIT),parallel factor technology,high-order cumulants measurement,the method based on the propagator method,the method based on compression sensing and etc.Among those methods,the MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms are the most classic,but the MUSIC algorithm needs to perform spectral peak search,and the computation is large.While ESPRIT algorithm needs to decompose the singular value or eigenvalue of the received data matrix.Based on the method of propagation operator,the linear decomposition technique is used to replace the feature decomposition and the calculation is small so that it is widely concerned.At first,this paper gives the angle estimation of some basic concepts in array signal processing and analyzes the MUSIC algorithm and ESPERIT algorithm.Then the basic principle of computer simulation experiment is carried out respectively.MUSIC algorithm and ESPERIT algorithm are two-dimensional DOA estimation classical algorithms,which are also the basis of some other modified algorithm.Based on the uniform of the 2-L shaped antenna array,by using the structure characteristics of the antenna and dividing subarray properly,this paper proposes a DOA estimation algorithm based on cross-correlation matrix combining the propagator of extended aperture.Compared with the original of the existing algorithms,the proposed algorithm can acquire higher estimation accuracy and reduce the computational complexity effectively.Then this paper puts forward a kind of special structure of three parallel linear array.The Euler equation is introduced into the method of the propagation operator of extended aperture,which can effectively obtain two-dimensional angle estimation of target signal source.And the conclusions derived from the verified by computer simulation.At last,this paper summarizes the present situation and puts forward some existing problems and future prospects.
