The integrity of electronic evidence plays a key role in the process of digital forensics,and electronic evidence need to interact with the outside world in the whole life cycle.The integrity,validity,legality and originality of electronic evidence are hard to be guaranteed.In order to ensure the above characteristics of electronic evidence,we need to establish electronic evidence regulatory chain.It records and manages the details of electronic evidence at each stage of the life cycle of electronic evidence(who,when,why,and how to contact electronic evidence).Meanwhile,the corresponding technical means are adopted to ensure that electronic evidence can deal with threats at all stages,so as to ensure the integrity of electronic evidence and the reliability of the regulatory chain of electronic evidence.By studying the theoretical knowledge and relevant laws and regulations of electronic evidence,this paper puts forward the regulatory chain model of electronic evidence,then the design and implement the platform of the regulatory chain of electronic evidence.The specific research contents include the following:First,by studying the laws and regulations of electronic evidence and the operation process specification of digital forensics,we knew the attributes that electronic evidence must possess in judicial practice and some operation rules that digital forensics must follow.Second,according to the results of the above survey and the related theories and techniques,the regulatory chain model of electronic evidence is built.There are two main functions of the model: one is to generate the regulatory chain of electronic evidence with high operational efficiency;the other is to ensure the integrity of the regulatory chain of electronic evidence to a certain degree,and to find and locate abnormalities when the chain is abnormal.The regulatory process is divided into stages according to the life cycle of electronic evidence,and the regulatory chain nodes of the corresponding stage are generated through the actual demand.Then,insert the regulatory chain into the existing regulatory chain model.And the regulatory chain model achieve its dynamic construction based on the generation algorithm of a special definition of a structure(i.e.middle order balanced binary tree).Use hashing techniques,trusted time stamping,and other techniques to ensure the integrity of the chain of custody.Third,based on the regulatory chain of electronic evidence,we use Python language,MySQL database,Nginx server and MVC design pattern to realize the electronic evidence regulatory chain platform.The regulatory chain model of electronic evidence proposed in this paper is based on the division of the regulatory stage.The necessary attributes that electronic evidence should have are guaranteed by using hash algorithm and trusted time stamp.And a specific data structure is designed to manage the regulatory chain to improve the efficiency of the regulatory chain.Based on the regulatory chain model of electronic evidence,this paper designs and implements the platform of the regulatory chain of electronic evidence,which can supervise the digital forensics process and improve the efficiency of digital forensics and the judicial recognition of forensics.
