With the rapid development of network and storage technology,digital video has appeared in a large number of people's lives.However,while digital video improves people's ability of information exchange,it also brings information security problems such as copyright disputes,illegal tampering and information leakage.Information hiding technology is an important means to solve the problem of information security.As the most popular video coding and decoding standard at present,H.264/AVC standard is widely used.Therefore,it is of great significance to study H.264/AVC video information hiding algorithm.One of the reasons of the good compression efficiency of the H.264/AVC standard is the introduction of intra prediction in the encoding process.This paper mainly studies the information hiding algorithm based on H.264/AVC video intra prediction mode.The main work is as follows:(1)In view of the intra prediction mode of H.264/AVC standards,an H.264/AVC video information hiding algorithm with minimum distortion at macroblock level is proposed.The algorithm takes the I frame luminance 4×4 block prediction modes as the embedded position.The mapping rule is established by considering the direction correlation of 4×4 block prediction modes,the distortion function is designed based on the rate distortion theory,and the embedded sequence with minimum distortion value is generated by Syndrome Trellis Codes.The modulation process of the prediction modes is accomplished by secondary coding under the common limitation between the embedded sequence and the mapping rules.Based on the theory of minimizing distortion and STC encoding,the algorithm can embed 8bits secret data in each macroblock,which improves the utilization of the carrier.Meanwhile it reduces the modification of the embedded information to the carrier video,makes a low bit-rate growth and has little effect on the visual performance of the embedded video.(2)Based on the theory of image edge directional strength,the grouping mapping rule of prediction modes is established,and the distortion function is designed considering the embedding distortion between the current 4×4 block and its adjacent 4×4 block.A high capacity H.264/AVC video information hiding algorithm based on prediction mode is proposed.This algorithm can greatly increase the embedding capacity.When the capacity is fixed,the proposed algorithm also has some advantages over the existing algorithms in terms of bit rate growth,and the visual performance of the embedded video decreasesslightly.
