Virtual answering classroom uses virtual reality technology to build a virtual 3D space.The virtual answering room is a simulation of our real world classroom,established in the virtual world to provide a virtual location for students to solve their problems after class,where each participant in the virtual classroom will have a virtual avatar.They can communicate and move with the corresponding avatar in the virtual classroom.This thesis explains how to study,design and implement functions of virtual answering classroom,illustrates the definition,classification,and application of virtual reality,illustrates the concept,communication architecture and module development of open source Open Wonderland,and briefly introduces the VNC Tight and MAYA Autodesk.Virtual answering classroom has three parts' functions,including the realization of real-time or automatically answering students' questions,and personalized avatar gestures.First of all,this thesis explains how to achieve real-time answering function by adding the remote link module.Students can ask the teacher questions after class through this module.The module is mainly designed for courses which include operational demonstration content.Then,this thesis explains how to achieve automatically answering function,which makes students retrieve their answers from database easily by input some keywords.And the thesis introduces how to add a sorting algorithm demo module which aims at answering questions for those users who major computer science.Users can understand the implementation process of sorting algorithm deeply with this module.Finally,the thesis explains how to design two personalized avatar gestures by Maya and how to add these two gestures to the platform by adding or changing some Open Wonderland original source code.Anyone can complete their own personalized avatar gestures by following the same steps.Among those three functions,the implementation of avatar gestures doesn't only make the answering classroom personalized,but also provide one successful example for domestic personalized gestures' development in Open Wonderland.The design and implementation of virtual answering room lighten the tutoring workload after classes of teachers.By showing the scene in a virtual answering machine room where students could have an automatic,real-time,funny answering experience,i.e.the practical operation and testing,the system has fast response speed and accuracy.The system meets the openness,expandability,easy-operability,interactivity,and module independence requirements at the same time and almost accomplishes the tasks. |
