With the rapid development of mobile communication networks,mobile communication has entered a high-speed,real-time and intelligent era.A smarter life has brought enormous challenges to the research of mobile communications.Existing multiple input and multiple output(MEMO)systems only consider signal propagation scenarios on a two-dimensional plane,which is far from meeting the needs of future life.Many scholars at home and abroad have joined the research of MIMO systems with more dimensions.This communication scenario with vertical dimension information is called 3D multiple input and multiple output(3D MIMO)system.Firstly,the process of extending the 2D multiple input and multiple output(2D MIMO)system to 3D MIMO is explained in detail in this paper.The parameters in the 3D MIMO system are explained in detail.At the same time,the difference between anti-interference ability and system capacity of 2D MIMO and 3D MIMO systems is analyzed.The spatial channel(Spatial Channel Model,SCM)model is used to compare the anti-interference ability and system capacity of 2D MIMO and 3D MIMO.The experimental results show that 3D MIMO is superior to traditional 2D MIMO in both anti-interference ability and system capacity.Secondly,this paper introduces the common algorithms in the traditional 2D MEMO scene and the existing algorithms in the 3D MIMO scene,and analyzes the implementation steps and the performance of each algorithm.Based on the multi-cell multi-user model,a new 3D MIMO beamforming algorithm,called 3D game algorithm,is proposed.The 3D game algorithm uses a zero-forcing algorithm in the horizontal dimension and a game theory mathematical model in the vertical dimension.The Nash equilibrium solution under the selfish game and the altruistic game is obtained respectively.The beamforming vector in the vertical dimension is the linear combination of the solution under the condition of selfish game and the solution under the condition of altruistic game.The resulting 3D MIMO beamforming vector is the product of the beamforming vector of the horizontal dimension and the beamforming vector of the vertical dimension.The simulation results of 3D game algorithm and K-means algorithm show that compared with K-means algorithm,3D game algorithm can get higher system capacity.In addition,the 3D game algorithm not only avoids the 3D codebook design problem,but also greatly reduces the computational complexity of the 3D channel matrix.
