With the rapid development of communication technology,since the 1980 s,the research and standards of digital broadcasting and television transmission systems have progressed rapidly.Digital terrestrial broadcast television has received wide attention due to its high transmission efficiency,strong anti-interference ability,portability and low cost.The US Advanced Television Business Advisory Board officially passed the Advanced Television Systems Committee(ATSC)National Standard for Digital Television on September 15,1995,which is a milestone in the history of digital television broadcasting.The source coding of ATSC adopts AC-3audio compression technology and MPEG-2 video compression technology.The channel coding and the modulation mode of ATSC respectively adopts trellis coding and VSB modulation technology.The ATSC provides two modes: terrestrial broadcast mode(8VSB)and high data rate mode(16VSB).This paper mainly studies the terrestrial broadcasting mode.In the 6MHz high-frequency RF band of the US terrestrial channel planning,the ATSC can achieve 10.7273MS/s of the transmission symbol rate and 19.28Mb/s of the payload rate.It can carry 1 sets of HD or 3 to 5 sets of SD TV programs,and can also be used for data transmission.This paper mainly introduces the key technologies in the ATSC system,especially the ATSC channel coding and modulation part.It discusses the principles of key technologies such as physical layer channel coding and modulation and the implementation of C/C++ algorithm in the ATSC system.The main research contents of the article are as follow:1.Research on the principle of ATSC system According to the ATSC related protocol,the ATSC transmission system principle is deeply studied and discussed.The ATSC functional modules are designed.The main modules include: data scrambling,RS coding,data interleaving,trellis coding,multiplexing,VSB modulation.The latest standard for digital terrestrial broadcasting,ATSC 3.0 which is the evolution of ATSC,is also explored.2.ATSC digital signal simulation and transmission system implementation The functions of ATSC modules are realized by C/C++ language,and the specific algorithm implementation of each function is explained in detail,as well as the key functions and key parameters.The modules are built together to design the ATSC transmission system.Then the ATSC digital signal simulation is realized and the ATSC digital baseband IQ data can be generated.The microwave vector signal generator AV1465 is used as the hardware transmission platform to introduce the baseband IQ data into the microwave vector signal generator in AV1465.ATSC digital radio frequency signal transmission is implemented in arbitrary wave mode.3.Automation Modulation Recognition of the Communication Signals based on Deep Learning.In this paper,an algorithm is proposed to achieve the automatic recognition of communication signal modulation mode.It uses stacked autoencoder technology to extract features and obtain feature set with better anti-interference ability.Then BP neural network is used to classify and identify the selected features.Results show that the algorithm can realize the automatic recognition of MQAM communication signal modulation mode.The classification recognition effect is good and the calculation complexity is low.The work of this paper has certain practical value for building ATSC cheap system based on software radio station,and has certain reference value for the research of automatic identification of communication signal modulation mode.
