The circle cutting problem widely exists in Industrial production,which has deep application background,ranging from circle parts of aerospace rockets,aircrafts and tanks,to the circular bottom surface of pots and pans.Both belong to the application of such problems.Therefore,an excellent cutting plan which can reduce raw material loss,simplify the production process,improve production efficiency,depress inventory management costs,reduce the dif:ficulty of inventory management and even improve the competitiveness of enterprises plays an important role in the whole industry.How to design such cutting plan becomes an urgent problem for many businesses.This paper discusses circle cutting problem with straight layout,and further considering the problem of standard leftover and stack management of standard leftover in inventory,so as to reduce inventory pressure of enterprises and improve leftover value.Thus,the main contents are as followed:(1)Considering the optimization layout of strip.In industrial production,the blanking process is to cut stocks into strips,and then cut strips into items;But search process is the reverse process of industrial process,which is combining items into strips,and strips splice into stocks.Therefore,how to maximize strips utilization is important to circle stock problems.When items diameter and the number of items in sheets are known,the sheets with highest material utilization rate can be calculated with the three methods for the circle cutting problem on sheets which are parallel arrangement,interlaced arrangement and oblique arrangement and the restriction of the number of item row in sheets can't be more than 3 rows.For standard leftover,the inverse idea is used to calculate the items diameter and number when leftover size is known.(2)Introducing standard leftover into circle cutting problem.First,sequential heuristic algorithm is used to solve the circle cutting problem.The size of leftover will be known.Then,by subtracting this part form stocks and using sequential heuristic algorithm to solve the same problem.4 material utilization will be calculated with 2 in transverse and 2 in vertical.One of which has the highest utilization will be selected and the final solution.(3)Developing a system of circle cutting problem.Through the comparison of references and random examples.The results show that the algorithm has better material utilization,which can guide practical production and application.
