With the advancement of technology,people have put forward higher capacity requirements for signal transmission and signal processing,and the voice of optical communication networks for all-optical networks is increasing.The all-optical network's core technology,all-optical switching technology,requires optical amplification technology and optical signal power control in this technology.Therefore,it is extremely important to achieve proportional control of the optical signal size within a certain range.The existing optical amplifier components mainly include semiconductor amplifiers(SOA)and erbium doped fiber amplifiers(EDFE).The advantage of SOA is that it is easy to integrate.The disadvantage of SOA is that the magnification is small and there is a nonlinear effect.The advantage of EDFA is that the magnification is large,the disadvantage is that it is not easy to integrate,and there is gain saturation effect.This paper proposes an all-optical controlled optical amplifying system,which has the advantages of high precision,fast speed and can control the amplification of signal light in the range of 100 times.The specific work results are as follows:1.Comparing an optical amplifier with an operational amplifier in a circuit,a new optical amplification structure is obtained.Proportional amplification of the signal light is achieved by controlling the feedback optical power in the optical amplifying structure.For the basic requirements of optical proportional amplification based on optical feedback,we choose EDFA with large magnification and polarization-independent characteristics as its core amplification structure.And build and measure this system.2.It can be obtained from experimental measurement and analysis.The positive feedback all-optical proportional amplification system can realize the proportional amplification of signal light in the range of 5-10dB,and can proportionally amplify the signal light by 10-100 times;the negative feedback all-optical proportional amplification system can realize The proportional amplification of the signal light in the range of 23dB can amplify the signal light by 0.25-50 times,and its output power fluctuation range is about 200 times.3.In order to further expand the scale-up range(mainly between 0-1 times)and to explore a more convenient all-optical control system,we measured the corresponding output optical power relationship for EDFA low drive current.Through the analysis of the data,we propose an all-optical proportional amplification system based on pump optical power control.Measuring experimental data of all-optical scale-up system based on pump optical power control.and the relationship between the pump optical power and the output optical power in the range of 8-14 dBm can be obtained.In the pump range,for different inputs-20dBm,-13dBm,-10dBm,The controllable magnifications are different,which are 0.01-11 times,0.001-3.5 times,and 0.001-1.8 times,respectively.
