The concept of SDR(Software-defined radio)was first proposed in the field of military communications.Nowadays,SDR also have important applications in other related fields of radio engineering such as radar,electronic warfare,navigation,and so on.Multi-rate signal processing is the key to implement digital signal processing in software-defined radio,which is used to provide theoretical basis for the speed reduction of sampling data streams.Filter bank is the core of multi-rate signal processing,so the study of filter bank is extremely important for software-defined radio.With the continuous development of software-defined radio and multi-rate signal processing,the research direction of filter bank has also begun to shift to narrow transition band and non-uniform.This paper is aimed at the problem of high complexity of the narrow transition band and the non-uniform filter bank.The low complexity narrow transition band non-uniform filter bank and its FPGA(Field programmable gata array)hardware implementation are studied.The specific research contents are as follows:Firstly,the basic theory of the filter bank and the basic structure of the analysis and synthesis filter bank are introduced.Derive the polyphase analysis filter bank and synthesis filter bank,and verify them by simulation with MATLAB.And then compare and analyze the complexity of the basic structure of filter bank and polyphase filter bank.Secondly,for the problem of high complexity of narrow transition band filter bank,analysis filter bank based on FRM(Frequency-response masking)and CEM(Complex exponential modulation)FRM are derived by using FRM technology and CEM FRM technology.The correctness of these two filter banks are verified by MATLAB,and then we compare and analyze the complexity of these two filter banks with other analysis filter banks.Aiming at the problem of non-uniform filter bank,a dynamic synthesis filter bank based on CEM FRM is proposed.It can be combined with the analysis filter bank to realize a low complexity narrow transition band non-uniform filter bank.Finally,the engineering implementation of the low complexity analysis filter bank is completed.Use System Generator to complete FPGA hardware designs of polyphase analysis filter bank and analysis filter bank based on FRM.These two FPGA hardware design simulations are performed to verify their correctness.Then the Verilog code is generated to synthesize and implement designs,also we compare and analyze occupancy resources between these two designs in FPGA.
