Nowadays,the land communication system is unable to satisfy people's growing communication requirements due to the effect of geographic conditions and natural disasters.Considering the feature of high coverage and good communication performance in satellite communication,it can make up for the deficiency of terrestrial communication system.The deployment of satellite communication system is a process of consuming large amount of resources.Thus,in different design scenarios,building satellite communication systems become significant for the trade-off between communication performance and cost efficiency.The design of constellation in Low Earth Orbit(LEO)satellite communication system towards regional high capacity and global supplementary coverage is given based on different design scenarios.Firstly,in the design of LEO constellations toward regional high capacity,the existing designs lack the joint consideration of user demands and constellation deployment schemes.In the premise of meeting user demands,this paper proposes a regional constellation design method to minimize constellation deployment cost.The problem of the waste of cost and orbital resources is solved by this method,in which user demands and system capacity are regarded as limit conditions,and constellation deployment cost and coverage efficiency are considered as optimize objectives.Secondly,in the design of low orbit satellite constellations toward global supplementary coverage,the existing designs lack joint measurement indicators consisting of constellation capacity and deployment cost.This paper puts forward cost efficiency as the optimize objective and gives global constellation design which realizes the maximize cost efficiency.Finally,Satellite Tool Kit is used to simulated the configuration and communication performance of the two constellation schemes,and they are compared with Iridium system and global star system to verified the validity and the accuracy of the optimal design scheme.In this paper,the constellation optimization problem in different design scenarios is discussed,and new constellation design constrains and optimization objectives are proposed.At the same time,the design of constellation towards regional high capacity and global supplementary coverage is given,which provides theoretical basis for the research of LEO satellite communication system.
