With the rapid development of network communication technology and multimedia technology,video broadcasting service has covered all aspects of people's work and life,a large number of video applications have generated a large amount of video data.Especially in recent years,high-definition(HD)and ultra-high-definition(UHD)video has been gradually promoted on hardware devices,and its ultra-high resolution occupies a large amount of storage space.The new generation video coding standard HEVC adopts hybrid coding framework,and greatly improves the video coding efficiency by introducing many new technologies such as quadtree structure.However,compared with H.264 standard,it also greatly increases the computational complexity and coding time of video coding,which is not conducive to real-time video coding,such as online video,and hinders its popularization and application.Therefore,reducing the complexity of HEVC coding and speeding up the coding speed of the encoder have always been the focus of scholars and industry research and application.This paper mainly studies and optimizes the division of intra and inter coding blocks and the selection of coding mode in HEVC.The main contents and research results are as follows:(1)A fast mode decision algorithm based on HEVC inter-frame mode is proposed.By adopting skip mode detection method of early CU and fast inter-frame mode decision-making,using the space and time coding parameters,SAO parameter values,motion vector(MV)size,prediction unit(TU)size and coding block marker(cbf)data in the process of HEVC coding,fast decision-making can be made and the execution times of AMVP process can be reduced,and the computational complexity can be reduced.The experimental results show that,compared with the original HM 12.0 method of HEVC,the video coding time of the algorithm decreases by 44% on average under the same video quality.(2)A fast and low-complexity CU partitioning algorithm is proposed.It classifies CU into one of the predefined categories by using motion features and RD loss threshold.Then the probability of CU partition calculated by simple nearest neighbor algorithm has been judged to determine whether CU is further partitioned.The experimental results show that,compared with the original HM 12.0 method of HEVC,the video coding time of the algorithm decreases by 55.5% on average under the conditions of RA and LD.
