Network virtualization is known as a technology that enables the future Internet to sup port numerous emerging applications.Its main lpurpose is to overcome the resistance of the current Internet to architectural chancge.Network virtualization can provide more flexibility and better' manageability for the future Internet by permitting several heterogeneous virtual netvworks(VN)to coexist on a shared infrastructure provider(InP)network.The prime challenge in network virtualization is the virtual network mapping problem which is how to allocate resources efficiently,where virtual nodes and links are embedded to some specific substrate nodes and paths.Previous researches in virtual network embedding(VNE)mainly focused on resear-ching efficient static algorithms without considering the remapping problem in the dynamic substrate network which may have a deteriorating effect on the link mapping efficiency.This research addresses the remapping problem in dynamic substrate network due to periodic topology chancge and gives some solution to the remapping problem w-hich occurs during the link breakdown condition.Based on the existing baseline virtual network embedding algoritluhm,the main contribution of this research thesis includes:mapping of the vitual links onto those substrate links,which have no breakdown during the embedding process of virtual network request.The simulation results show that our proposed scheme has better performance than the baseline algorithm by solving the remapping problem which occurs in the link mapping stage during the embedding process of the virtual network request.
