In recent years,algorithmic recommendation has become the mainstream way for many new media platforms to distribute information to users,such as news aggregation media headlines today,Netease news,social media micro-blog,intimate,jitter and so on.These media are personalized distribution of news and other forms of information content through big data algorithm to meet the diversified information acquisition needs of users,and become a new media platform that many people like to use.With today's headlines as the representative,the algorithm filters the information that users are not interested in,so as to more accurately push personalized news to users;and recently the emergence of short video platform with tremble as the leader,has achieved rapid user growth through rich video content and accurate content recommendation,becoming a popular product in the fire.These media use the advantages of algorithm push to change the original information distribution mode,which is mainly based on manual editing recommendation and time line sequence,and innovate the way of information dissemination.However,some unavoidable shortcomings will inevitably be highlighted in the development of new technologies.Algorithmic recommendation technology is becoming more and more accurate,but under the algorithmic push logic of "the more I like,the more I see",it is prone to the information cocoon effect.The media setting the user's agenda through the algorithm will also affect the user's judgment of the importance of information.The negative effects brought by these algorithms are worth studying and discussing.Therefore,it enlightens the theme of this study.This paper uses two research methods: case analysis and in-depth interview.Firstly,this paper analyses the operation principle of algorithm recommendation mechanism,and then carries out a case study of the typical algorithm media platform in China:Jin Ri Tou Tiao,combs out its development context related to algorithm in the development process,as well as some opportunities and challenges encountered by the platform,and interviews relevant algorithm staff and users.I hope to analyze the value orientation of the algorithm media platform from the operation logic of the algorithm mechanism,the development context of the algorithm platform and the user's use experience,the cognitive impact and behavior change of the algorithm recommendation mechanism on users,and how the media cope with the conflict and challenge between technology and humanistic value.Algorithmic media analyze users' preferences for information acquisition through collaborative filtering recommendation,user portrait and environment analysis.However,tools will be flawed,and there will inevitably be some loopholes in the calculation process.In addition,under the game of interests of all parties,the algorithm will undoubtedly be influenced by people's values,and can not be a perfect tool of pure reason.The algorithm platform has also made a lot of efforts to optimize and improve the algorithm recommendation mechanism.The conflict and integration of technology and humanistic value are still evolving and proceeding.However,in the case of jin ri tou tiao,technology and people are not antagonistic,but symbiotic.
