Light-field display is a new three-dimensional display technology which was proposed recently.The visual effect of this new display method is very shocking and has a wide application prospect.However,for generating high-quality light-field images,the traditional standalone mode based generation methods is no longer suitable for this new display technology,which often encounter performance bottlenecks.In terms of this situation,this thesis designed and implemented a content generation system for light-field display based on distributed rendering.This system is capable of rendering high-quality light-field images,and combined with the features of cloud computing services,it can provide a flexible and efficient content generation solution for light-field display.The main contents and innovations of this thesis are as follows.(1)By analyzing the optical structure of the light-field display device,the positional relationship between the camera array and each pixel in the virtual scene is established.Then combined with the principle of backward ray-tracing technique,the generation method of light-field image is proposed.(2)Design and Analyze the distributed rendering model of the light-field image.According to the rendering process of the sort-first framework,key points in implementation of distributed rendering are proposed.(3)According to the generation method proposed in this thesis,the ray-tracing engine provided by Blender is used to realize the rendering pipeline,and the distributed rendering of the light-field image is realized by AWS.A web-based interactive interface is also provided,which makes the use of the system more convenient and simple.(4)The performance of the system is tested and analyzed.The generated light-field image can be applied to the horizontal light-field display device mentioned in the thesis,which proves the availability of the system.Also,the rendering efficiency of the system is compared and analyzed,which proves the high-efficiency of the system.The research results of this thesis provide a solution for the content generation of the light-field display,which has solved the problem of low efficiency for rendering high-quality light-field images,and has practical research significance.
