Traditionally,the life of the sensor networks are restricted by the limited battery capacity.With the development of wireless power transfer technology,battery-powered sensor nodes are gradually replaced by rechargeable sensor nodes.Energy can wirelessly transfer to the sensors.Consequently,wireless rechargeable sensor networks(WRSNs)is realized to solve the problem of the limited life.For WRSN,one important issue is charging planning to improve energy efficiency and save costs.In this paper,charging Planning algorithms are studied for the dynamic and static charging methods for WRSN.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithms are more efficient and economical.This paper is organized as follows.Firstly,the research status of WRSN,wireless charging technologies,and corresponding charging methods for WRSN are introduced.Secondly,an accurate and effective wireless charging base station deployment and positioning algorithm is proposed for the static charging method of WRSN through base stations by using electromagnetic radiation charging technology.A core node determination rule is proposed to optimize the number of charging base stations.A new concept of generalized Fermat points is used to determine the specific locations of the charging base stations by which charging efficiency between the base station and the sensor nodes is optimized.The simulation results show that the average Uumbers of the charging base stations can be reduced by 23.3%,9.7%,and 6.4%compared with three existing algorithms.In addition,the specific locations of the charging base stations are given out in our proposed algorithm.Thirdly,two charging strategies(non-fixed cycle and fixed cycle)based on energy grading are proposed for the dynamic charging method of WRSN by using charging car and magnetically coupled resonant wireless charging technology.Compared to the traditional strategies,the new ones combine the ant colony algorithm and a solution to the traveling salesman problem which can reduce the total moving path of the charging car in one charging cycle and effectively reduce the costs.Finally,the summary and the shortcomings are given out.The future work is also prospected.
