The number of movable cultural relics in our country is huge, but there have been problems of insufficient display and utilization.Episodic memory is one of the cognitive processes that the audience must experience when they are visiting the places, and it is closely related to the display. However, the factors that influence the effect of the situation memory in the display are not clear yet. What are the display factors that influence the episodic memory? What are the manifestations of the audience's episodic memory from ceramics and bronzes? How to design and improve related exhibitions so as to ensure the communication between the audience and the exhibition? The above are issues that need further investigation. In this study,we investigated the performance of the episodic memory of viewers in material(ceramic/bronze)and presentation(time:1s/2s,frequency:once/two times, text:with text/no text)and found(1)Regardless of how the material changes, the audience's episodic memory always has two stages of familiarization and recognition;(2)Interval repetition has a positive effect on the memory of the audience;(3)The audience's familiarity with the material influences the performance of the scene memory. Finally, the results are applied to the display of ceramics and bronzes. It is proposed that(1)interval repetitions can be used in both offline and on-line display to enhance the memory traces of the audience and effectively enhance the recognition effect of the audience;(2)The display should be based on familiarity that audiences have different levels of with ceramics and bronzes, and targeted adjustments to relevant design methods to promote memory.
