With the continuous development of information technology,the functions of radar and communication equipment used in the modern military have become increasingly perfect.Two independent devices have more and more similar characteristics,and integration technology of radar and communication has also become a hot research direction.This formed a cross-cutting issue in the integration of radar communications.The gradual maturity of software radio technology also lays a solid foundation for the integration of radar communications.In the research of integration technology of radar and communication,OFDM signals have attracted widespread attention in the academic field due to its advantages of large bandwidth,excellent detection capability,high resolution,and low interception rate.As a mature communication signal,OFDM solves the problem of poor communication performance of traditional radar signals.At the same time,it has good distance resolution and speed resolution.Therefore,OFDM signal has become the first choice in radar communication integrated signal design.However,in practical applications,OFDM signals have high peak-to-average power ratio and limit the power of radar transmitters.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the OFDM signals when integrating radar communications.This article focuses on the development of integration technology of radar and communication based on OFDM,analyzes related literature at home and abroad,introduces the research status of OFDM-based radar communication integrated signals,and then applies OFDM technology and technologies applied in the improvement of OFDM signals.Explain,for example,spread spectrum,frequency hopping,etc.,and explain the integrated signal performance evaluation criteria according to related literature.Subsequently,the problem of low data rate existing in the existing SS-OFDM integrated signal with direct-sequence spread spectrum and OFDM is discussed,and an MSS-OFDM integrated signal combining the M-ary spread spectrum technique is proposed,and the signal is analyzed.Simulations were performed to verify its radar detection capabilities and communication performance.In this paper,after analyzing the reasons why the prior art uses OFDM signals as an integrated signal for radar communication,it is proposed that FH-OFDM signals with the same gain and frequency hopping communication as OFDM can also be applied to radar communication integrated signals.And,through theoreticalanalysis and simulation verification,it was confirmed that the FH-OFDM signal can be applied to an integrated radar communication system.
