In the past two years,with the popularization of 4G mobile phones,4G mobile communication technology has been widely used.But with the popularity of 4G users and the increase in the number of users,the available bandwidth of 4G will become very confined and congested.As a result,the transmission rate will not be able to meet the needs of users,prompting 4G to move toward 4G+ and 5G,and especially 5G has become the research spot within the industry at this stage.5G has a large-capacity,ultra-high-speed transmission characteristics,it is in need of the realization of higher transmission rate modulation technology on the basis of traditional 1024-QAM and 2048-QAM modulation rate.Therefore,4096-QAM modulation technology in 5G environment has a great significance to research.This paper used the 4096 QAM modulation technology as the theme,it researched and analysed the effect of increasing modulation dimensions,signal shaping,constellation mapping and IQ imbalance on system performance.These studies not only provided an certain theoretical reference for high-order QAM modulation,but also opened up a new idea for higher-order QAM modulation and demodulation methods.Firstly,this paper is based on the theroy of traditional two-dimension QAM modulation technology,which include the steps of orthogonal carriers modulation,Gray code mapping,and so on.It studied and analyzed the modulation theory under the two-dimensional 4096 QAM modulation mode,it built a two-dimensional 4096 QAM system simulation model,and implemented the modulation and demodulation algorithm.Secondly,because the millimeter-wave technology was a key technology in 5G,it has a very wide bandwidth and good transmission characteristics at a specific center frequency,and also it has the favorable spectral conditions,which provided a powerful bandwidth for the research of the high-dimensional modulation method in this paper.Based on this premise,this paper not only proposed the modulation method of three-dimension 4096 QAM which is a transfer method about the signal was carried by three orthogonal carriers in two kinds of central frequency,but also proposed the modulation method of four-dimension 4096 QAM,which used four carriers to carry signals in two kinds of central frequency.And also,this paper studied and analyzed the modulation theory of system for three-dimensional and four-dimensional 4096 QAM,it built the system simulation model,and implemented the modulation and demodulation algorithm for three-dimensional 4096 QAM and four-dimensional 4096 QAM.Then,after constructing the simulation model of 4096 QAM system in each dimension and implementing the corresponding modulation and demodulation algorithm,this paper studied the 4096 QAM shape filtering and constellation mapping technology in different dimensions,and analyzed the effect of amplitude and phase imbalance on the performance of 4096 QAM system in each dimension,and studied the method of the parameter estimation and signal compensation in the case of amplitude and phase imbalance.when the transmission channel is unbalanced is studied.By designing the raised cosine and root raised cosine filter algorithms and comparing the filtering performance on the 4096 QAM system,the root raised cosine filter was selected as the follow-up study of this paper.Comparing the minimum Euclidean distance and the average energy of the constellation points,and combined with the simulation of the constellation and the BER performance,it can be concluded that the BER performance of the four-dimensional 4096 QAM is better than the BER performance of the two-dimensional and three-dimensional 4096 QAM.And using the two-dimensional 64 QAM which have the same spectral efficiency with four-dimensional 4096 QAM as a comparative analysis,we find that the BER performance of four-dimensional 4096 QAM is better than the BER performance of two-dimensional 64 QAM,and four-dimensional 4096 QAM achieved a twice transmission rate than two-dimensional 64 QAM.Finally,the paper combined with the idea of spatial modulation,it proposed a two-dimensional 4096 QAM modulation method by improving the coding method,which provides a thought for subsequent research.
