The rapid development of Internet has led to the development of campus network in Higher Vocational Colleges and universities.Because the current network use cost is relatively large, and college students through the campus network to achieve information access will save more expenses.Generally, schools connect the campus network with the external network through dedicated channels. However, all kinds of virus, spam and other issues affect the use of the school network, and all kinds of events that make the network slow,or even network congestion occur from time to time. Therefore, the monitoring and analysis of campus network traffic is an important task in current campus network management. In this paper, firstly, the research background, research significance, research status and main contents of the campus network traffic monitoring and analysis system are introduced;secondly, various technologies used in the system research are introduced, including network detection technology, anomaly detection technology,B/S architecture, data acquisition technology. Then, the feasibility analysis, function analysis and business process analysis of the system are explained. Finally, the design and implementation process of the system are introduced,in which the implementation process of network traffic analysis using k-means algorithm is mainly introduced, and the system test is explained. In the process of research,k-means algorithm is used to analyze the daily network data of campus network, which is convenient to find abnormal nodes of the network, and enable users to timely carry out network early warning processing. After running on the campus network of Liaoyang Vocational College, the system has achieved certain results and brought convenience to the daily management of campus network administrators.
