The accurate evaluation and measurement of the performance for cloud computing platform as it is a public platform is the premise and basis for effictively saving resource and improving user service quality.Currently,the evaluation and measurement of cloud computing platform performance depend on the experience and rough estimation of the relevant employees,it may cause waste of resource or fail to provide high-quality services in its practical applications,different cloud computing platforms with different technologies achieve different performance.Accurately evaluating the performance of heterogeneous cloud computing platforms is an important factor in improving the effective utilization of resources.In the edge cloud computing where the Internet of Things(Io T)is the main application scenario,a large number of edge nodes with limited resources are integrated into the heterogeneous cloud computing platform.accurately evaluating the performance of these edge nodes and deploying the edge node hardware resources according to the required performance become issues that need to be solved in the development of edge cloud computing and the Internet of Things.This papper focuses on the performance evaluation of heterogeneous cloud computing platforms,the main works are as follows:For the problem that the performance of the heterogeneous cloud computing platform which includes a variety of different hardware devices,deployment modes,and technology implementations is difficult to be accurately assessed,by analyzes its performance influencing factors and workload,a evaluation model of performance for heterogeneous cloud computing is proposed.through testing the performance of the platform under different conditions,using statistical methods to analyze the data,using the locally weighted linear regression method to establish the prediction model,combining the The actual workload and quality of service requirements of the heterogeneous cloud computing platform.To verify the performance evaluation model of the heterogeneous cloud computing platform that proposed in this paper,a heterogeneous cloud computing platform is designed and implemented,and a collaborative computing framework between heterogeneous cloud computing platforms is proposed,it consists of management collaboration,data collaboration,and computing collaboration.In this papper,a convenient and efficient toolset of performance evaluation is also designed and implemented,including benchmarking tool,performance parameter collection tool,performance assessment and forecasting tool,the toolset is scalable and supports a variety of cloud computing platform technology and architectures.This paper designed and implemented a performance evaluation model and evaluation tools for heterogeneous cloud computing platforms.By building a heterogeneous cloud computing platform and evaluating its performance,the proposed performance evaluation model is verified by experiments,and it is proved that it can accurately assess the performance of heterogeneous cloud computing platforms in practical applications.
