While the 4th generation wireless systems(4G)is speeding up its steps towards global markets, the 5th generation wireless systems(5G)has initiated its full development to satisfy an increasing demand on mobile data traffic and big data bandwidth.5G aims to support multiple operations and application scenarios, such as flexible wireless resource management, air interface and base stations' cooperation, automatic network management, and so on.Centralized data processing, collaborative radio,real-time cloud infrastructure and Cloud Radio Access Network(C-RAN)are being sought by more and more operators to meet end-user requirements due to their excellent advantages. As a promising mobile wireless network architecture, compared with the traditional Radio Access Network(RAN),C-RAN has incomparable advantages in terms of low power consumption, reduced Base Station(BS)numbers, and economic capital and operating expenditure. It can also improve network capacity and BS utilization rate.Recently,C-RAN security has aroused special attention and concern.Specially, one of the open research issues with C-RAN is how to allow multiple operators' virtual BS(VBS)pools to exchange control data and cooperate with each other in order to provide qualified 5G services. In this thesis,we first overview the C-RAN architecture and its deployment scenarios. We then provide a thorough review the literature of security studies in the field of C-RAN based on its three logic layers and corresponding security threats and attacks and security requirements in C-RAN.Next,we propose a C-RAN Inter-Operator Cooperation Scheme(IOCS)to support the cooperation of multiple operators in C-RAN and allow them to share resources in a trustworthy and secure way based on Trusted Computing Platform(TCP).In this scheme,an access trust management pool including VBS trust managers(TM)is set up to take care of an operator's VBS pool.It allows one operator's end user to consume other operators' network resources in a safe way when its own operator's network cannot meet Quality of Service(QoS).Furthermore,we design a trusted cooperative platform based on OpenStack to implement the proposed scheme.Performance evaluation and simulation results show that the proposed IOCS has high efficiency in operation and high trust attestation accuracy than other schemes.
