Because of the high altitude, complex terrain and sparsely population, the patrol and prevention and control of the Pamirs border area of China is facing great difficulties.Cycle patrol is difficult to achieve effective control the abnormal situationof border area.In this paper,we propose a station-sensor-based method, which is used for real-time monitoring, covering all the monitoring areas with the lowest cost to achieve the effect of timely response. The main contents of this paper include:(1)We develop the mathematical modeling of 3D terrain. In the error range which can be accepted, wepropose the digital elevation model and ground information model. The formal expression of various types of terrain information provides support for thejudgement of visibility of the signal.(2)Base-sensor signal propagation model is established to study the intensity attenuation and visibility of the signal under complex terrain.According to the visibility of the signal,we can distinguish coverage area, which may provide support for site selection.(3)Study on the optimization method of allocation of the border region base.Combined with 3D terrain model and signal propagation model,we can draw the location options of base station. Then optimized by genetic algorithm,we cantell the minimum cost to cover all the monitoring area and fixed costs to maximize the coverage.
