Compared to the traditional radar,the ultra-wide band radar not only improves the range resolution,improves the target recognition and imaging,but also improves the radar concealment and anti-jamming performance.UWB imaging radar can hide objects in obstacles in the non-invasive detection,localization,imaging and recognition,target recognition ability has good range resolution and strong.Ultra wideband radar system has the advantages of small size,low cost and flexible work.For ultra wideband impulse radar,it is easy to realize the integration and digitalization without mixing circuit and demodulation circuit.The ultra-wide band radar sensor building impulse radar system research method of detecting and imaging of metal material in the shallow surface obstacles,provide theoretical guidance for the design of UWB system.The specific work of this paper is as follows:First introduces the current research status of UWB radar,ultra wideband radar sensor used in the experiments.The common imaging methods based on ultra-wide band system are introduced,the advantages and disadvantages of each method are analyzed,and the main work of the paper is described.The hardware system of the whole experiment is introduced.The UWB data acquisition system is built based on the Novelda radar sensors and then the perfprmance of the sensors is analyzed.The core of the whole hardware system for NOVELDA radar sensor,its high-speed sampling performance and highly integrated the radar system can achieve the experimental requirements.In this paper,the NOVELDA pulse radar sensor is introduced,and the experimental platform is built on the basis of the experimental results.Clutter interference is the biggest problem affecting the ultra-wide band penetration detection.In ultra-wide band penetration detection,it is often very strong clutter interference and submerged target signal,it is important to recover the weak target signal from strong background clutter.Several common algorithms for clutter suppression are presented and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.Details of the algorithm to the projection based on time-domain ultra-wideband radar,according to the calculation of traditional imaging method in large volume,low efficiency,we propose a fast approximation algorithm for delay curve based on the measured data to verify the effectiveness of the fast algorithm.For through wall imaging specific model,comparative analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation in free space and obstacles of the situation,analysis of the refraction in the wall is the main factor affecting the propagation delay calculation.Then a detailed analysis of the calculation method of wall in delay.Finally,using the experimental data,to deal with the wall under the condition of target,and imaging using fast algorithm,the experimental results also verify the effectiveness of the algorithm through the correct and fast imaging algorithm.
