The next generation mobile and wireless communication systems are designed to provide higher access rates,wider bandwidth,achieve ubiquitous,high-quality data transmission.On the one hand future mobile communications are faced with a more complex communication environment,on the other hand application scenarios and needs are more diversified.Although OFDM has been widely used as a multi-carrier transmission scheme with minimum complexity in wireless communication system recently,there are still many disadvantages in the system.Firstly,the out-of-band spectrum leaks seriously;secondly,the introduction of the cyclic prefix greatly sacrifices the spectrum utilization of the system;finally,the peak-to-average power ratio is more difficult to suppress.Instead,FBMC-OQAM is able to make up for the lack of OFDM.This technology adopts a filter with good time-frequency location(TFL),and can provide reliable communication without cyclic prefix.Besides,it has the advantages of high spectrum efficiency,low outof-band radiation,and strong capability against narrowband interference.As a result,FBMC-OQAM technology is deemed to be one of the solutions to the technical challenges of spectrum efficiency and is an important development direction for future wireless communication systems.The theoretical research of FBMC-OQAM is more mature;however,there is a lack of system implementation.If FBMC-OQAM is eligible to be a key technology for 5G in the future,it must be able to design a robust,simple transceiver.In view of this situation,this paper introduces the FBMC-OQAM communication system achieving by frequency spreading based on USRP RIO platform,and further research of key technologies is made.Analog signal processing can be directly configured on the host computer due to USRO RIO's internal DAC chip,ADC chip and RF module.In addition,the FPGA inside USRP RIO has high-speed parallel processing capabilities,and can make real-time digital signal processing.The hardware algorithm which needs to be accordingly optimized because of the high complexity of modulation and demodulation is highlighted in the paper.Eventually,coding,modulation,demodulation and decoding are implemented in real time on the NI USRP RIO 2943 R,which verifies the excellent performance of FBMC-OQAM.
