Telecom operators are now faced with the important mission of network innovation and transformation.In order to achieve the goal of internet change of the bearer network,they need to deal with the complication of network capacity,the centralization of business layout and the integration of IT and CT.The appearance of Software Defined Network(SDN)and Network Function Virtualization(NFV)has provided new ideas to Network Evolution.What impact they will have on the telecommunication network and how they can be inserted in it have become the major concerns in the field.Based on the mainstream protocol Openflow,open source controller as well as open sourc e switches,this paper has given a comprehensive review of SDN and NFV ranging from their c oncepts,technical systems and the development tendency to the core techniques of both.It has pointed to the world's leading operators' and Internet vendors' SDN/NFV application and illustrated the trend of the technology,meanwhile trying to analyze the impact SDN and NFV have on the present network for telecom operators.The author has also assessed the technical implementation and scheme bringing in SDN,virtualization and automatic deployment to the integrated IDC resource pool and some practical suggestions follow.Meanwhile he analyses the major technical implementation of Sophomore network layer and an analytical comparison has been made between the VxLAN and VDC solut ions mainly used among mainstream manufacturers.
