Radar communications integration system integrates the functions of radar and communication systems.It is widely concerned because it can effectively reduce the electromagnetic interference between devices and reduce the equipment volume.However,there is no perfect radar communication integrated signal design scheme so that the radar and communication system can operate well both.How to design a signal that does not interfere with radar and communication functions is a difficulty in the integration of radar communication.In this paper,we design a kind of integrated signal based on the fractional Fourier transform,and devotes itself to realizing the mutual interference between radar and communication system.First of all,we summarize the radar communication integration research and the implementation of two design ideas: superimposed signal and integrated signal.Then,the working mechanism of pulse radar and continuous wave radar,and the composition of the communication system are described.After analyzing the similarities and differences between two systems,the waveforms applicable to the radar communication integrated system are given,which are the single-frequency signals in the communication.Second,the spectral characteristics of the single-frequency signal in the fractional Fourier transform domain are analyzed.The integrated signal adopts the waveform in communication and uses the characteristic of the fractional Fourier transform of the single-frequency signal as the linear frequency-modulated signal.The idea of processing radar data in fractional domain comes into being.Then,an implementation model of the radar communication integrated system was established.Next,the detection mechanism of the integrated signal is analyzed,and the speed and ranging principle of saw-tooth and triangular wave modulation of the signal in the fractional domain are deduced.Finally,the performance of the radar communication integrated system was analyzed.For the radar performance in the integrated system,the maximum nonambiguity distance and range resolution of the fractional-domain LFMCW radar are analyzed and derived.The expression of the radar ambiguity function is deduced,which is the generalized form of the ambiguity function of the traditional LFMCW radar.Then the performance of the communication system is briefly analyzed,and the simulation and verification of the radar communication integrated system is given.
