Currently,in all kinds of digital communication systems,using error-correcting code to control transmission error has become an important means to improve the reliability of system transmission.For the simplex communication LED synchronous control system,which adopting LVDS differential transmission mode and using BNC cable,there are some defects and shortcomings in the existing solutions.Therefore,it is necessary to design an appropriate error-correction mechanism for the actual situation of LED system.After analyzing the situation of LED synchronous control system' hardware,this paper select the convolutional code to design the communication error correction mechanism.As the actual hardware resources of the LED system is less,the current designs of Viterbi decoder consume so much resources that they can't meet the application requirements of LED system.Therefore this paper carried out the following three aspects research work: First,improve Viterbi decoder's BMU module,through analyzing the butterfly operation process deeply,take measures to reduce the number of butterfly operation unit.Second,improve Viterbi decoder's ACS module and reduce the number of the cells by means of combination of the series and parallels.Thirdly,improve the ram-reading mechanism of the PMU module in Viterbi decoder,use the same-address-writing-back method to reduce the number of RAM used.After finishing the simulation and synthesis under the EP4CE10F17C8 platform in LED system,the results show that the design is correct and the logic resource consumption of the Viterbi decoder module is 2044,the consumption of RAM resources is 19840 bits,and prove that the design of Viterbi decoder meet the requirements of LED system,that is,the logic resource consumption does not exceed 3000,the RAM resource consumption does not exceed 20,000 bits.In the end,the error-correction mechanism has been tested in the LED system.The results show that the error-correction mechanism has a significant effect on improving the reliability of data transmission.
