As one of the most significant achievements in radar development since the second world war.High frequency ground wave over-the-horizon radar uses propagation mechanism of surface wave in sea surface,bending the path of the wave,detecting the low altitude and sea targets,and is widely used in the field of Marine environment detection,radar meteorological forecast,radio sea state remote sensing and other fields,playing an increasingly important role in modern national defense construction,national economy and scientific research.According to the research subjects,the radar system and communication system have been strictly distinguished for a long time.However,as the two most important applications in the field of radio,they have many similarities in terms of working principle and system structure,Therefore,the exploration and research of the high frequency radar communication integrated system not only has the engineering feasibility,but also has huge military and civilian application value.Since the signal waveform not only determines the signal processing method,but also directly affects various performance indicators of the radar system and the communication system,such as resolution,clutter suppression capability,communication rate,and bit error rate,etc.,throughout the entire system.In view of the above problems,this paper will study the integrated signal based on the existing high frequency ground wave radar system.This paper firstly analyzes and studies the processing method of FMPCW signal in high-frequency ground wave radar,and introduces an important tool for analysis and synthesis of radar signal,that is,ambiguity function.In order to solve the problem of periodic distance ambiguity of the FMPCW signal's distance spectrum,the time gate processing method is adopted,simulating and verifying the radar system processing flow under the FMPCW signal system.This paper secondly analyzes and studies the radar performance and communication performance of the LFM-MSK signal,which is based on wavelength division multiplexing.The radar performance is compared with the LFM signal in detail.The simulation results show that the integrated signal has the same range resolution and doppler resolution as LFM signal under the same conditions.The communication performance is compared with the MSK signal in detail.The simulation results show that the integrated signal has the same bit error rate as the MSK signal under the same conditions.This paper finally analyzes and studies the signal processing method and parameter design method of the LFM-MSK signal in high frequency ground wave radar,and simulates and verifies the detection effect of the LFM-MSK signal in radar system.The results show that the integrated signal can meet the requirements of radar system detection,and has a good performance of velocity measurement and distance measurement in the single-base high frequency ground wave radar system with reference signals identified..
