With the rapid development of communication technology,more and more methods to improve the communication rate have been researched and applied in order to meet the increasing demand of high-rate communication.Ultra-wideband technology has become a research hotspot as a high-rate and short-range communication technology.Compared with other short-range wireless communication technologies,UWB technology has many advantages such as high transmission rate,strong anti-interference ability,low power consumption,high confidentiality and high positioning accuracy.The performance of ultra-wideband antennas directly affects the performance of ultra-wideband systems.Therefore,designing high-performance and miniaturized ultra-wideband antennas that meet the requirements of ultra-wideband systems has become one of the key technologies.In addition,multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO)uses multiple antennas at the receiver and transmitter simultaneously,increasing the data rate multiple times without any extra frequency resources.When the channel bandwidth and the average signal-to-receiver SNR are constant,the maximum channel capacity of the MIMO system is proportional to the minimum number of antennas.At present,MIMO technology has become one of the key technologies of 4G network.In the future,MIMO technology will also be widely concerned as the core technology of 5G network.The difficulty of MIMO antenna design lies in how to reasonably solve the problem that when multiple antennas are placed in a limited space of a small area,the coupling between antenna elements is reduced and the isolation is improved.First of all,the article introduces the research background of UWB MIMO technology,the research status of UWB technology and the research status of UWB antenna.The radiation principle of the antenna and the related performance parameters are introduced.The MIMO technology and the related performance parameters of the MIMO antenna are introduced briefly.Secondly,a two-element UWB MIMO antenna is designed.By combining two decoupling methods,such as decoupling branch T-section and slot on tne floor,the designed antenna has high isolation.Finally,the antenna is fabricated and tested,the measured antenna efficiency,gain,radiation patterns and other performance parameters to verify the correctness of the design.Finally,the article designs two miniaturized UWB MIMO filter antennas,one based on half-wavelength stopband slot technology and the other based in quarter-wavelength stopband slot technology.Both antennas reduce the coupling between antenna elements by digging slots in the floor to improve the isolation of the antenna.HFSS is used to build antenna models and optimize the structural parameters.Finally,the antenna is fabricated and tested,simulation and measured results show that one-half wavelength stopband slot ultra-wideband MIMO antenna can achieve 4.8-5.4G band filtering,in other ultra-wideband band,the antenna has a good impedance matching and isolation performance,a quarter-wavelength ultra-wideband MIMO antenna can achieve 5-6GHz band filter characteristics.
