After decades of research and development,cryptography has achieved a lot of significant results.Among them,stream ciphers,also known as sequence ci-phers,have gained considerable development and progress as a member of the cryptosystem.The pseudo-random sequence plays an irreplaceable role in the stream cipher.It has a wide range of applications in analog simulation,commu-nication systems,software testing,etc.Nowadays,the stream cipher system still have great advantages in many fields,like resources and their restricted areas,the speed of encryption and decryption which need to be increased.The biggest advantage of stream ciphers is that they are simple but fast.For hardware implementation,hardware modules are small,and run fast,its far better than other cryptosystems,which is enough to make stream ciphers take a place in the whole cryptosystem.Its disadvantage is that it can only be used in continuous confidential communication.It is not suitable to encrypt and decrypt the files flexibly.And the pseudo-random sequences which play a important role in stream ciphers,it is widely used in practical applications,such as radar signal design system,spread-spectrum radar,CDMA in communication system and so on,this makes stream ciphers still one of the hotspots in current cryptography.The construction and design analysis of sequence generators are always the core topics in stream cryptography.In this article,we made the research on the core topics of stream ciphers.It designs and constructs a new sequence generator:called clocked V-FCSR sequence generator.It is mainly composed of a linear feedback shift register and a V-FCSR which based on the Fibonacci model.We obtained some basic properties through analysis.After that,we tested the pseudo-random characteristics of the sequence by the NIST package.The output sequence generated by this structure can be applied practically,because its pseudo-randomness are indistinguishable to the real random sequence,and it is easy to implement both in hardware and software.
