Aiming at the requirements of multi-projection display systems at home and abroad,a geometric calibration technology based on ideal point of view is proposed.This technology does not use camera as a reference to calibrate multi-projection images on fixed complex surfaces.The algorithm uses ideal observation viewpoint,the viewpoint coordinate system,the Kinect optical center,the projector's buffer image and the morphological characteristics of the complex projection surface to calculate the conversion relationship between each other.The three-dimensional world coordinate values of feature points on the complex surface are converted into the coordinate values in the viewpoint coordinate system.Each homography matrix of that correspond area between the projected image on the complex surface and the image to be buffer by the projector is solved.The preprocessed image is projected on the complex surface by the projector to achieve the purpose of geometric calibration.Experimental results show that the algorithm is feasible through geometric calibration of left and right projection images and edge fusion of overlapping regions.Compared with the camera-based geometric calibration algorithm,this algorithm improves the application range of the calibration.
