With the rapid development of science and technology,real-time target tracking technology has been increasingly applied in security monitoring,military tracking,robot vision,intelligent transportation and other fields.At present,the research on the moving target tracking algorithm is becoming more and more perfect in every aspect.However,the existing target tracking system has a great influence on the tracking accuracy under the complex backgrounds such as changes in illumination,closeness of the background to the target color,or occlusion of the target.Therefore,this paper proposes a color contour enhancement algorithm for the situation with similar background and target color,combines with the mean shift algorithm to achieve the robustness of the target tracking,uses MATLAB to establish a model,and validates target tracking conditions under various conditions through data simulation.The results can be seen that the improved target tracking algorithm can achieve stable tracking under similar conditions of target and background color.This paper uses the programmable logic gate array FPGA as the central processing unit to design a hardware processing system.On the FPGA hardware platform,the software design is implemented through the integrated development environment.The software part mainly includes the clock management module,the image cache module,the image algorithm implementation module and the display driver module.The image algorithm module mainly includes a median filter algorithm,a color contour enhancement algorithm,and a mean-shift tracking algorithm.Its hardware implementation mainly uses combinational logic and DSP48A1 resources.And through the timing simulation of the image algorithm module to verify its function.After setting up the experimental platform,target tracking experiments were conducted with similar goals and background.Experimental results show that the tracking algorithm using the combination of the color contour enhancement and the mean shift algorithm has a higher tracking accuracy than the mean shift tracking algorithm,and can achieve real-time target tracking in the case of 1080P@60Hz.
