In recent years,with the development of Science,occupational safety has been attached more and more attention.Since it's inevitable that people may be killed or injured by earthquakes,explosion of building,leaking nuclear plants,etc.How to deal with these situation assure the safety of rescue team has been a research topic of priority in many countries now.To solve this issue,This thesis designed a new type of smart rescue robot.The robot can enter the hazardous and complicated place instead of humans.It can carry out effective environmental information probing and collecting tasks and save victims from disaster environment.Through analyzing the scene of collapsed buildings,rough and convex surface,narrow spaces,it can be concluded that it's difficult for wheeled robot and chain wheeled robot to enter the disaster environment.Therefore in this thesis,a 6-legged smart rescue robot was chosen to be studied.Firstly,an introduction and an analysis of structural characteristics of the smart rescue robot are performed.Then a mathematical model to solve locomotion problem and the relationship between angular movement of robot leg's joints and moving robot are built to analyze robot's movement.Based on these research,the control system was developed.In chapter 3 and chapter 4 the designing of hardware and software for control system is presented,which includes micro-controller,servo,GPS,obstacle avoiding,electronic compass,cameras,WiFi,transmission,memory storage,etc.The designed robot is smart.It can locate and avoid obstacle by itself.Besides,It has WiFi to transfer image and other information of scene to rescue team.Chapter 5 presents a experimental work.The robot can make adjustment to reduce vibration and impacts,so the robot is more flexible and adaptable to the disaster environment.Test results indicate that the research has certain reference value for the design of rescue robot.
