Recently,location-based service has played an increasingly important role in national defense,public security,transportation and social network.It is estimated that people has spend more than 70% of the time indoors.Therefore,indoor positioning demand is more urgent than outdoors.Since UWB has the sub-centimetre positioning accuracy,it has a broader application prospect in the indoor positioning field compared with Wi-Fi,Bluetooth and RFID.However,in the current integration scheme for UWB and mobile terminals,the separation of location signal and communication data has led to waste of communication resources.And the cost of the hardware and the refresh rate of the system have limited the localization efficiency.Therefore,this paper expects to integrate positioning and communication to develop the advantages of UWB.It aims to achieve the integration of UWB indoor positioning and communication without reducing the existing positioning accuracy,so as to improve the utilization rate of resources.The main achievements of this work are listed as follows:Firstly,in view of the difficulty of integrating UWB wireless technology and existing equipment,a general framework of the integration of UWB positioning and communication is proposed.The integrated system of positioning and communication which can be used for 2 dimensional indoor positioning.The base station and mobile terminal in this system can be wireless to get rid of the space layout restrictions of the base stations.And this paper completes the hardware design of the system and realizes the communication between the integrated platform and mobile terminals.Secondly,a communication frame of UWB positioning and communication integration is proposed,which realizes the coexistence of fusion data and reduces the computation of control center.Aiming at the hardware system and communication frame,a method of integration for indoor positioning and communication is proposed.This method uses F-?t model and the error rate of the system to estimate the data increment of the communication frame in the integrated system.We can obtain the best number of bits range for the fusion data in the case of determining the probability without the effect of the positioning refresh rate.By comparing and analyzing positioning errors caused by ?t in different ranging methods,a two-way TOA is proposed to compensate errors.Finally,the experiment shows that this paper realizes the integration of UWB localization and communication at the cost of slight positioning accuracy by combining the F-?t model with the two-way TOA.
